Board Members and Minutes

Our Council is a volunteer-supported and volunteer-directed nonprofit corporation that relies on effective partnerships between local leaders, partnering agency staff, and private donors to achieve its goal: to make the U.P. a better place to live, work and play.

The Council is led by a board of directors with a representation from throughout the UP.

The current executive board members of the U.P. RC&D Council consist of nine members that come from U.P. County Boards, Conservation District Boards, regional planning and development organizations, tribal nations, and the public at large.

The Council meets quarterly and currently all meetings are held via ZOOM . All meetings take place at 10 am EST.

Current Board Members

The Council will strive for a balance between the management of natural resources to protect the environment, and the implementation of economic development activities in order to sustain economy for the region. We will identify resource conservation and land use issues, and work with local communities to address these concerns.
